Pivot or Push Through™ is a career inflection decision framework developed for senior executives navigating moments where conventional career advice no longer fits.

The framework treats this question as a diagnostic problem rather than a motivational one. It uses two variables — role fit and progression clarity — to map any senior career moment into one of four diagnoses: Pivot, Push Through, Reframe, or Aligned. Each diagnosis describes a different underlying condition. Each requires a different response.
